Rigby has 40 years’ experience in the Railway industry as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer.

 

Rigby is a specialist in new build procurement and all aspects of the “V” cycle, from identifying client’s needs, creating technical and contract documentation through to commissioning, approvals and service introduction, both in the UK and abroad. International projects include Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, China, Korea and Switzerland.

 

Rigby has focussed on the application of systems integration to railway systems, achieved by taking a Systems Engineering approach to fulfilling customers’ needs by the integration of rolling stock and infrastructure. He has delivered a paper on this subject at a professional engineering conference.

 

Rigby also has extensive fleet and depot management experience and is an accomplished Project Manager of vehicle refurbishment and fleet upgrades. He also has significant experience in fleet franchise bidding, maintenance documentation and depot design.
